Membership of the society is through membership of a chapter as a Corporate or a Non-Corporate member. Corporate members consist of the Fellows and Members, while Non-Corporate members consist of the Associates, Students and representatives from the Associated Institutions. No person or Institution shall be a member of more than one Chapter. The Application Form covers individual membership for Members, Associates and Students only. The nomination of new Fellows can only be initiated by a Chapter Executive Committee (or a group of Fellows) while the authority to elect new Fellows rests with the National Council. Organisations wishing to become Associated Institutions of the Society should write to the Chapter Secretary.
A Member shall be a person who has adequate academic training and experience in Operations Research. Members of the Society may use the letters MASOR to identify themselves as such.
An Associate shall be a person who satisfies the Chapter Executive that he or she is interested in furthering the objectives of the Society.
A Student shall be a full time student who is interested in any of the Objects of the Society.

Applicants are requested to provide sufficient detail to demonstrate eligibility for the class of membership sought. Where there is insufficient space on the form, further details can be supplied on a separate sheet. *The current annual membership fee is $45.00 for full members ($20.00 for students)
